mwReigning Miss World, Rolene Strauss of South Africa has cancelled her scheduled visit to Kenya due to increasing terror threats and attacks.
The beauty queen was supposed to visit the country this Friday, and the organizers’ decision was reportedly guided by a British travel advisory.
This statement was put out.
“We, the Miss World Kenya office regret to inform you that the dinner in honour of Miss World, which was to be held on April 10, 2015 has been postponed due to the British travel advisory, which has been escalated by the Garissa terror attack. We will advise you as soon as we have the new date,”
Rolene’s predecessor, Megan Young from Philippines was to accompany her.
