Al Shabaab Kill 147 in Garissa University Attack

garThis morning, suspected Al Shabaab militants attacked Garissa University College.
Information is scanty, but reports have it that at least 8 people have been killed, including 2 guards manning the institution. Kenya Red Cross states that at least 30 people, including 2 policemen were rushed to hospital with bullet wounds.
There have been reports that students have been taken hostage, but nothing is confirmed.
In a statement to the media, IG Joseph Boinnet said that the attackers shot indiscriminately while inside the university. He however urged Kenyans to remain calm as the police fight the militants.
UPDATE: 15 people have been confirmed dead and over 65 injured.
