Celebrated radio host Kazungu Matano aka Cleopas Awinja, cleared the air about his exit from Q FM when his career was at its peak. This was his post on facebook.
“Let me personally clear the air. Yes it’s TRUE that I’ve left QFM, however, i am still @NTV and will NOT be leaving anytime soon. It’s been overwhelming responding to hundreds in person. If and when I’ll have new/more info to share, I will do it here and in other public platform’s as I’ve realized that mine is a public service and to the public i owe explanations (when stuff that affect our interactivity arise)

The comedian quit his job as a radio host to pursue other interests. Awinja was phenomenal in his capacity as the drive show co-host and his absence on air will greatly be felt by Q FM fans.
Speaking to Nairobi News, he added that he is headed to State House;
“Yes, I have left QFM and I will now be working at State House. I’m not in a position to reveal what I will be doing there,” he told the paper.
At the same time, comedian and radio host Alexx Mathenge has also bowed out the station to pursue other interests.
