Speaking on Sunday, Kabogo disregarded popular opinion that he should apologize to Kenyan women, saying the constitution guarantees him the freedom of speech. Reacting to Leader of Majority, Aden Duale’s warning that Kabogo was embarrassing President Uhuru Kenyatta and would face the sack, Kabogo said that no one can intimidate him.
Kabogo’s controversial statement is believed to have been directed at Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a, who is said to be fuelling rebellion against the governor.
