PHOTOS of Kenya’s First Ever Tartan Running Track Outside Nairobi….in Iten

Thanks to Lorna Kiplagat, Kenya has gotten its first tartan running track outside Nairobi. The Lorna Kiplagat Sports Academy is coming up well in Iten, and the running track is now ready, and has even hosted some athletes for training.
The track meets international standards, and the markings were actually done by an IAAF accredited line marker.
Currently, work on the football pitch is ongoing, with irrigation of the grass underway. Floodlights are up and the place is transforming quickly.
