Once again,the condescending Governor of Kiambu County,the incredibly misogynistic Man with a venomous tongue and scarlet temper has lashed out at his pet target; WOMEN..
Governor Kabogo,a Man with a name so uncannily similar to mine has blasted a PEOPLE that have been so instrumental in His Birth,Upbringing, Nurture and Development; WOMEN.
Ever on a collision course with the equally-acerbic and venom-spitting THIKA TOWN MP,Alice Nganga….whom I presume is UNMARRIED, Kabogo launched an unfortunate tirade that reeked of dangerous sexism and cheap misogyny.
Kabogo claimed that UNMARRIED WOMEN who are over 35 Years of AGE are INELIGIBLE to vie for office because,”they have failed in the home front….”
Kabogo said,and I quote,
“We must not elect leaders who do not have
family values. I ask you women who are more
than 35 years old and not married to get
married as you are the reason men have
problems,”
Those are NOT Kabuga’s words. But Kabogo’s words.
He added,
“We will be asking any woman who wants to
be elected to bring her husband and any
interested man to bring his wife. I will now be
moving around with my wife,”
Oops.
As if HAVING a WIFE Qualifies a Man to be HOLY.
As if HAVING a wife elevates a MAN to sainthood.
As if HAVING a wife catapults MEN to a stratospheric sphere of pure righteousness and immaculate piousness.
As if HAVING a wife equates MEN with the likes of the saintly Francis of Assisi.
Having a WIFE OR A HUSBAND does NOT make YOU BETTER.
It ONLY means YOU ARE TAKEN.
PERIOD.
My elder sister is SINGLE. UNMARRIED with a gorgeous baby girl who is in class 4 now.
I have watched MY sister do it on her on…struggle to clothe,feed,nurture,tend to and shelter her daughter effortlessly.
I have watched MY niece grow into a beautiful, beautiful Angel…I have seen her develop into a model young lady…a sterling performer in class with a smart brain,sharp wit and deadly sense of respect.
I have watched MY sister bring her up…discipline her,correct her,caution her and inculcate her.
I have immense revere for MY UNMARRIED sister.
And when Kabogo takes shots at UNMARRIED Women,suggesting that they are lesser humans or immoral creatures, I FEEL OFFENDED.
Because MY sister belongs to THAT CLASS.
