In a scene reminiscent of Moi’s oppressive regime, striking University of Nairobi students were yesterday subjected to extreme police brutality.
The cause of the demonstrations was the just concluded SONU elections, which saw Babu Owino ‘retain’ his seat.
GSU personnel were called in to keep the calm, but they ended up abusing their power in a way that has not been witnessed in the last decade.
