Now, Thats Worth 200,000
It seems that the plans by parliament to buy chairs worth Sh 400,000 each aborted and they settled for local ones. Speaker of the National Assembly Kenneth Marende, was yesterday inspecting chairs made by prisoners.
The prison authorities will soon start delivering the 350 chairs to the refurbished parliament. The new chairs move away from the traditional cream colour to a royal red. The work done by the prisons is magnificent, and surely way cheaper than the Sh 400,000 foreigners would have asked for.
