Remember Alex Munga Sadi? The motorist who shot to online fame after he was filmed confronting alcoblow traffic police officers in Mtwapa while accusing them of ‘catching him like a rat on the highway’?
Well, Alex Sadi is once again making national headlines for all the wrong reasons.

The pharmacist was Tuesday arraigned at the Shanzu law courts and charged with being in possession of an assortment of government-branded drugs and HIV testing kits.
According to the charge sheet, Alex Sadi was found in possession of government drugs from Kenya Medical Supplies Agencies (Kemsa) worth Sh2 million.
The particulars are that on March 12, 2023, at about 3:00 pm at Kadunguni pharmacy in Mtwapa, he was found in possession of 41 different types of drugs of various quantities.
The drugs bearing Kemsa labels included 16 kits of Dts-z and three boxes of care start malaria rapid diagnostic test, 60 dispensable tablets of cledomox, and five kits of OraQuick HIV self-test kit.
Others were 20,000 pieces of polyethylene ziplock dispensing pockets, 20 vials of lignocaine injection, three tubes of Zupricin ointments, and 32 bags of 2000 cotton wool.
Authorities from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board arrested Sadi at his pharmacy on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate David Odhiambo, the pharmacist denied charges of being in possession of public stores contrary to section 32 as read with section 36 of the penal code.
Through his lawyer, Sadi asked for lenient bond terms, citing his health condition.
“The suspect is ailing and requires constant medication. He is the only breadwinner in his family,” his advocate said.
State counsel Nadrat Mazrui did not oppose the bond but asked the court to issue stringent bond terms saying the matter was of public interest.
The court released Alex Sadi on a Sh1 million bond with one surety of a similar amount or on an alternative cash bail of Sh500,000.
The case will be mentioned for pre-trial on March 27.
