US-based Kenyan businesswoman, Sheila Wanjiku, has been sentenced to death.
This is after Justice Jessie Lesiit found her guilty of pre-meditated murder.
While sentencing her to death, the Judge said that the only sentence to murder is death adding that the offence committed by Wanjiku is very serious.
She was found guilty of shooting and killing her husband, Leonard Kibinge, on April 15, 2014 at Gitaru village, Kikuyu constituency.
Wanjiku has 14 days to appeal the decision.
In her testimony, Wanjiku had claimed she and her husband were kidnapped that night and that it was the kidnappers who killed her husband.
