It is often said that there is no way to be a perfect daughter but there are a million ways to be a good one. Coast-based singer Nyota Ndogo has found one way to be a good daughter by building her mother a house.
The ‘Watu na Viatu’ singer took to Instagram yesterday to show her followers the modest house, which she says was a promise she had made to her mother.
She wrote: “Mungu akikuezesha japo kidogo do it.nilimpromiss my mum nitamjengea hata kama ni nyumba kiasi but nae awe na kwake.nimemchagulia muundo huu.nyumba sio kubwa kama yangu but ndio uwezo wangu.we start tmr inshallah.raha ya mamangu furaha yangu pia.”
The singer herself is a proud home owner and used social media about two days ago to inspire her followers to keep their dreams alive.
She captioned a snap of the house: “Nilikua na dream moja ambao nilikua nikisema one day nataka kua na nyumba yangu.unajua ukiwa na ndoto kubwa ukiiwaambia watu watu ukucheka? Basi usichoke kusema ndoto yako hadharani couse unaitaji uko kuchekwa ili kukupe moyo.hili ni jasho langu mziki wangu yes sio rahisi but amini kidogo ukipatacho ukiweka kidogo kitakua kikubwa.”
