NTSA also directed Kenyans who want to check the status of their driving license and number plate applications to use the dedicated status portal on the NTSA website.
In a statement on Tuesday, July 14, the authority urged vehicle owners with uncollected physical logbooks to collect them. NTSA said motorists have five months before the December 2026 deadline.
The agency added that it will not hold printed logbooks for more than six months. It warned that any logbooks left uncollected after the deadline will be disposed of.
“It is five months to the deadline, and we urge all motor vehicle owners who still have their logbooks at NTSA offices to collect them as soon as possible to avoid any inconveniences,” NTSA said.
To make the process easier, NTSA outlined several channels through which motorists can access services and get assistance. These include NTSA physical offices and Huduma Centers in all 47 counties.
For customer support, the authority advised members of the public to contact it through its official email address, [email protected], or by calling its contact centre and switchboard on 0709 932 300 and 0709 932 000.
NTSA also encouraged motorists to seek help through its official social media pages, including Facebook (@NTSAKENYA) and X (@ntsa_kenya).
“Collection of logbooks is free. Carry the previous logbook and present your identification document at the collection centre/NTSA office for verification purposes,” NTSA clarified.
The authority also directed vehicle owners to its online service status platform, where they can confirm whether their driving licenses, physical logbooks, or vehicle number plates are ready for collection before visiting an NTSA office or Huduma Centre.
NTSA said the portal allows applicants to check the status of uncollected documents, which helps reduce unnecessary trips and improves access to services.
