“If Not for Ruto, Kenya Would Have Fallen” – MP Karauri

July 28, 2025

Kasarani MP Ronald Karauri has praised President William Ruto for steering Kenya away from the brink of economic collapse after the 2022 General Election..

Speaking during a church service in Kariobangi on Sunday, July 27, 2025, Karauri commended Ruto for stabilizing the country, encouraging him to stay the course despite the challenges.

“Your Excellency, do not get tired of working. Your work will be seen many years to come. Kuna kazi mingi inaendelea sana,” Karauri told the congregation.

He went on to remind Kenyans of the dire financial state the country faced after the last election.

“The one big thing people forget is that when we finished 2022, our economy had collapsed completely,” Karauri said. “The conversations we’re having today would not have been possible. It is because of your efforts.”

Karauri likened Kenya’s post-election crisis to a plane being piloted towards a storm, adding that the country needed a stable and experienced pilot at the helm.

“I remember what I said then,” he recalled. “I said when a plane enters a thunderstorm, it needs a pilot who can steer it through. Your Excellency, if it were not for you, our country would have fallen.”

He credited President Ruto’s leadership with guiding the country out of one of its toughest economic periods in history, referring to his intervention as timely and critical.

Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu echoed his sentiments, describing Ruto’s presidency as divinely guided.

“No man can fight what God has already blessed,” she said
