As other Nairobi MPs like Jaguar are making headlines for one reason or another, comedian turned politician John Kiarie ‘KJ’ has been quietly and impressively going about his work in Dagoretti South.
The MP’s latest development project has left his constituents and Kenyans on social media impressed after coming to the rescue of students at Rūthīmītū Girl’s’ School in Waithaka.
Until KJ’s intervention, the school lacked a dining hall, with the students being forced to have their meals on corridors.
“Our students at Rūthīmītū Girl’s’ School have been having a big challenge and are at times forced to have their lunch and dinner in the corridors or even verandahs,” said KJ.
The MP visited the school recently to inspect the ongoing construction of a new multipurpose hall with ample dining area, kitchen space, cereals store, fresh produce store and a catering office.
“We’ve ensured that the building complex is friendly to our learners and visitors living with disabilities,” said KJ, adding, “The new multipurpose hall will be complete on schedule.”
