The famous ‘Bado Mapambano’ political chant, coined by the late Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang, has landed a Nairobi-based man in Court.
Kepha Ojuka was arraigned in a Nairobi court Monday for allegedly shouting and singing ‘bado mapambano’ (the struggle continues) at another person. He was charged with causing a disturbance in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by shouting at one Ahmed Haji Ibrahim while singing at Lower Hill, Nairobi on July 11.
The suspect was arrested last Thursday and spent the weekend behind bars.
Appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot, Mr Ojuka denied the charges.
The Magistrate released the suspect on a personal bond of Sh5,000.
The hearing of the case was set for August 13.
