One of Sauti Sol’s proteges – Crystal Asige – wants to be remembered as a great songwriter.
The Sol Generation signee says that she also hopes to inspire young kids with disabilities. “I also want to show young people with disabilities that all one needs is hard work.”
According to Asige, in every artiste’s life, a lot happens behind the scenes but the end product is what matters. “No matter the struggles, press on.”
As a teenager, Asige was diagnosed with degenerative eye disease, a condition she says taught her to live by faith, not by sight, and to be humble and fearless.
“Each of our stories is different and for now that I can’t completely see, I am very focused on what I am doing,” said the First Lady of Sol Generation.
“Expect more projects from me and Sol Generation plus other collabos,” Crystal added.
