To say Naiboi had a superb 2018 would be an understatement.
The Kenyan hitmaker and producer grew in great leaps to become one of the most sought-after artistes in the region.
In addition to dropping chart-topping hits, Naiboi (formerly Rapdamu) earned a much-coveted slot on Coke Studio Africa 2019 and also landed some big shows, with the latest one being Wasafi Festival on NYE at the Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi.
The ‘2 in 1’ hitmaker was one of the few acts who did not disappoint on the night as he put on an impressive performance that caught the attention of the royal family of reggae – Morgan Heritage.
According to Naiboi, the Morgan brothers – Peetah and Gramps – reached out to him and they had nothing but good things to say about his work.
“Getting a call from my brothers and telling me I caught their attention at the show and that they had to meet me, they love what I do and believe in what I stand for is just way beyond my imagination given that am a huge fan! @grampsmorgan gave me so much insight and advice from a global perspective that really opened up my thinking ??.” Naiboi posted on social media.
He also hinted at a collaboration saying, “New Year New Deals ?? ?? ✈️.It’s cool to be conscious ❤️”
Gramps Morgan also took to his Instagram to big up Naiboi, while Morgan as a group confirmed that they are working on a project.
