Nominated Nairobi MCA Mary Njambi is quickly becoming the newest comedian in town.
Njambi, whose popularity skyrocketed after her troubles with pepper spray during the forceful eviction of Beatrice Elachi, now claims that she does not know what her role as a nominated MCA is.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Jambo, Ms Njambi narrated how the nomination came as a surprise. When she asked about the job description, she was told that she would learn on the job.
Njambi, who was at the heart of efforts to evict Elachi and is now popularly referred to as Mapiripiri said she was notified of her nomination just three days to the swearing in ceremony.
“Akaniambia wewe uko nominated, waah nilishindwa, nominated aje? Nikauliza, na kazi ya nominated ni gani? Akaniambia utajua tu,” she said, adding: “Sasa mimi sijui, nominated ni kazi gani? It was on Friday tulikuwa tuapishwe on Monday.”
Ms Njambi’s remarks left the show’s presenters Gidi and Ghost in stitches.
