Kenyan songbird Avril has ended her one-year musical hiatus. During that time, the singer gave birth, welcoming her first born in April 2018.
While the ‘Nikimuona’ singer has been keeping the newborn away from the public glare, she has featured the baby in her new song titled ‘In Love’.
The love song begins with a preamble of a 20-second clip of Avril serenading and cuddling her baby as Avril sings:
“When I see you smile… when I see you laugh… these are the simple things my baby.”
Avril is listed as the song’s executive producer alongside J Blessing, who is said to be Avril’s baby daddy. The video is also directed by J Blessing.
