Senior Citizen TV news anchor Lulu Hassan was beaming with pride and joy as her dearest friend and former colleague Kanze Dena made her inaugural State House briefing on Wednesday.
The formidable on-screen duo anchored Swahili news for well over five years until Kanze’s presidential appointment as Deputy State House Spokesperson earlier this month.
And as other Kenyans tuned into their television screens to watch Kanze in her new role, Lulu Hassan wasn’t left behind in what must have been an unfamiliar but refreshing experience for her.
Citizen TV’s news editor Joseph Bonyo captured the priceless moment in a picture and shared it on social media last night.
