The newest kid on the hip-hop and rap block, Tunji, is back with his first project of the new year.
The rapper’s most notable project was ‘Mat za Ronga’ which he released last year. He followed that up with a banging remix featuring Kenya’s current face of rap Khaligraph Jones.
The rapper also teamed up with fellow NuNairobi’s finest – Steph Kapela and Shukid – for the remix of Muthoni Drummer Queen’s powerful ‘Kenyan Message.’
With just one released solo single, Tunji’s fans were clearly yearning for more from him. He has killed the silence and given us something deep to ponder about.
Dubbed ‘Harambee’, this song set to empower the youth by preaching a message of working together to accomplish various goals.
According to Tunji, “the term ‘Harambee’ is derived from the Bantu word ‘halumbe’ which means to push or pull together.
“The song is a message to us, the Youth, calling us to put our differences aside and work together to build a better future for the coming generations.”
