“Dump Nasa for Jubilee To Save Your Political Future,” Machakos Elders to Kalonzo

February 22, 2018

A group of Machakos elders has advised Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to ditch Nasa for Jubilee “for the sake of his political future”.

The members of the  Mau Mau Veterans Association asked the Nasa coprincipal to consider working with President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto.

“Opposition politics may derail development in Ukambani region, especially in efforts to tackle drought,” Johnstone Kitili said on behalf of the group.

“We love our son Kalonzo but we want him to work with Uhuru. He was initially doing well politically but we do not understand what went wrong.”

In a statement on Wednesday, the elders claimed that Kalonzo was being politically misused by Nasa leader Raila Odinga.

“We thank Kalonzo for accepting the elders’ advice of not taking an oath as the People’s Deputy President together with Raila on January 30,” Kitili.

The statement said: “Raila’s political agenda was pegged on selfishness and would lead the country to the dogs. He should tone down his political pressure and accept the electorate’s decision.”

The veterans further appealed to President Kenyatta to invite them to State House where they would shower him with blessings as he embarks on his second term in office.

They also urged Kenyans to recognise the legitimacy of the Jubilee government and respect it accordingly.
