A tragic road accident along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway on Thursday claimed the lives of seven people and left 30 others seriously injured.
The 5 am crush at Hill top area in Timboroa occurred when a Crown bus rammed into a trailer as it was trying to overtake another vehicle.
Area Police boss Agnes Kamau said the bus was traveling from Mombasa to Kakamega.
She said the victims included four children and three adults.
The bodies were taken to Mercy Mission hospital while the injured were taken to various hospitals in Eldoret.
The accident comes in the wake of new rules by the National Transport And Safety Authority to curb cases of speeding and reckless driving.
