National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga has continued with his ‘six-piece’ campaign. This week, he has camped in the city.

Speaking in Dagoretti on Monday, Raila urged residents to vote for Evans Kidero to start his second term as Nairobi governor. He said that it would be a shame for him to be president only for Sonko to be the one receiving him during events.

”We don’t want to capture the national government, then here in Nairobi we get a Jubilee governor.’

”I’ll find it very embarrassing if I become president, and then Sonko comes to receive me [during ceremonies].

Raila visited Dagoreti North and Westlands constituencies.

He further commented on the maize shortage, calling it an artificial creation of the Jubilee government. He said Jubilee is planning to withhold maize until the final days of campaigns, so that they can supply the basic commodity and possibly sway voters.

“They want to withhold unga so that they will supply the basic commodity to people at the eve of elections and possibly sway voters to vote for President Kenyatta. We, NASA, know that plot and we are telling them that Kenyans are mature politically and we will send them home,” he said.

He also urged his supporters to ‘adopt a polling station’, saying they are targeting 5 agents per polling station.
