WATCH: Liverpool Striker Divock Origi Can Speak Better Swahili Than Most Nairobians

Liverpool striker Divock Okoth Origi has left netizens impressed on social media with his great command of the Swahili language.

Origi, who is the son of former Kenyan professional footballer Mike Origi, was speaking during an interview with BBC Swahili in the UK over the weekend.

The striker was among the goals as Liverpool ran rampant to demolish West Ham United 4-0 to keep their hopes for a Champions League football spot, alive.

In the interview, Origi reflected on that important win and spoke in impeccable Swahili about Liverpool’s chances of finishing in the top four with Arsenal hot on their trail.

Divock’s cousin, Arnold Origi, Kenya’s first choice international goalkeeper who plays for Lillestrom in the Norwegian top flight league, shared the clip on twitter for those who doubted that Origi is Kenyan.

Origi, 22, began his career at Lille and plays for the Belgian National team.
