With the ongoing arrests and cases of drug trafficking going on in Tanzania, Bongo superstar was on the wrong arm of the law for a completely different infraction.
The ‘Marry You’ singer on Wednesday turned himself in to the police for a traffic offence.
The star who recently became the first East African to sign with Universal Music, reported to the traffic police headquarters due to a clip in which he was filed driving without a safety belt on.
Taking to social media, Diamond wrote: “I went to report a the HQ of traffic police due to the clip was posted am driving the car without fastening my seat belt…. my dear fans and Friends make sure you fasten your seat belt before you start driving your car…”
The singer was released after paying the necessary fines according to the law.
