benThe High Court has given NYS suspect Ben Gethi’s mother a two day ultimatum to surrender a Sh7.3 million luxury car to the Assets Recovery Agency.
Justice Roselyn Aburili directed Charity Wangui to hand the Jeep over to the DCI and investigating officer Jeremiah Sautet.
The directive comes days after Ben Gethi’s mother admitted to owning some of the properties listed in a suit by the Assets Recovery Agency.
Aburili said in her ruling on Thursday that the vehicle should be guarded against vandalism.
Ben Gethi’s mother maintained that she was not involved in the Sh791 million scandal, saying those who mentioned her intended to embarrass her.
Wangui is among eight individuals suspected to have purchased assets to launder the funds.
