Kenyans Attack Lupita for Sending ‘Belated’ Condolences To Garissa Victims

April 14, 2015

lupita1Lupita Nyong’o has finally left a condolence message to the families and friends of Garissa University after the ill fated terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 147 people.
The ’12 Years A Slave’ star took to her social media pages to express her heartache at the merciless killings. This comes after Cameroonian-Nigerian singer Dencia hit at out at her for failing to speak up.
The 34 year old actress, who has been rather inactive on social media, has also been criticized by some Kenyans for taking too long to speak up.
Lupita posted a message with the caption: “Thinking of the families and friends of those recently killed. #GarissaUniversity, Kenya.#heartbrokenhome”
Some social media users really need to stop being petty. There’s no golden rule that a condolence message should be sent immediately.
