Chelsea will likely clinch the Premier League title this weekend at home, but despite scoring more goals than all but one team in the league, the Blues have been widely criticized for playing defensive-minded soccer. After a scoreless draw against Arsenal Sunday, fans inside the Emirates chanted “boring, boring Chelsea,” leading manager José Mourinho to deliver a scorching burn in his postgame press conference.
“Boring? I think boring is 10 years without a title. That’s boring.”
Chelsea’s players responded Tuesday with a ridiculous trick shot. Six players bounced a ball off their heads in succession while sitting at table, and John Obi Mikel sacrificed his body to complete the shot, falling out of his chair as he headed the ball into the bin. They then proceeded to celebrate like they… just won the league.
