The digital migration has forcefully kicked off. Aye! While Kenyans were busy sharing love and other romantic niceties, Communications Commission of Kenya was busy switching off analogue local channels. The board termed the switch-off as the first phase that aimed to shut down unauthorized transmitters. Already six transmitters have been put off hence disabling analogue transmission from media houses.
The sudden and unprecedented twist of events has however been met with hilarious reactions from citizens. Below we sample some tweets.
This #DigitalMigration switch off came at a PERFECT time…even Journalists, Cameramen, Producers & Directors needed a Valentine’s break.
