Kenya’s biggest mobile service provider Safaricom took this opportunity to remind us that it has not always been rosy.
This undated advert shows a time when Safaricom had not reached 100,000 subscribers. The person who would be the lucky 100,000th subscribers was gratefully rewarded with 5 mobile phones and Sh100,000 airtime.
Even by today’s standards, that’s a big reward.
