Rapper STL won’t be in the upcoming season two of Coke Studio Africa. The Norway based artist has turned down an offer to appear in the live music TV show because of ‘budget constraints’ that led to a disagreement on how much she should be paid.
According to STL’s manager, Tim Adeka, Coke Studio Africa representative could not match the amount they needed.
“The Coke Studio representative said they cannot match the amount we wanted with what their budget for the show’s talent is. So we declined their offer mostly because shooting the show is intense and consumes a lot of time,” he said.
The first season of the live music show featured some of Africa’s biggest names such as Salif Keita, King Suddi Ade, M.I, Lady Jay Dee and even Octopizzo.
