Remand Prisoners Commit Suicide at Mathari Hospital Using Bed Sheets

Two remand prisoners held on murder charges hang themselves to death on Wednesday at Mathari hospital using bed sheets.
Lucy Wanjiru Wangui,43, and Mary Ng’endo Thuita,37, were admitted at the hospital for psychiatric examination before the start of their trial at the Milimani law courts.
A search was done at the facility after they went missing only for their bodies to be found hanging from a metal bar.
According to Nairobi News, the bodies have since been moved to the city mortuary.
