I hate to be the bearer of bad news but i had to tell you this. While you are probably out shopping for what to wear for the anticipated cougar party set to go down tonight, it is important I let you know that you might have been conned.
The organisers of the party have alerted us that there are some people out there who have been selling fake tickets to innocent, unsuspecting Kenyans. Apparently, the party registration ended on February 7 and so if you bought the tickets afterwards, you might wanna find other valentine plans pronto.
The public notice goes..
THE REGISTRATION CLOSED ON 7TH FEB 2014
PUBLIC WARNING: FAKE POSTER ON THE INTERNET AND UNIVERSTY CAMPUSES /COLLEGES
Our registration for our Cougar Valentines Party closed on 7TH FEBRUARY 2014 However we have got some very important information that 2 Ladies (Joyce and Mitchelle) are pretending to be part of our organizers. Also a JKUAT University Student who has been going around campuses pretending to be an agent and asking for cash with fake printed tickets. I hear the 2 ladies have an office at Mfangano street kilimambogo building next to ukwala supermarket in town, and they have already conned 21 innocent young men. When you call that number they direct you to town then you will meet and pay them in cash.
All we are asking is that you be careful out there and we will not be held responsible for such mistakes.
There you have it. If you are among those duped off their hard earned cash, sorry.
On the brighter side, we will tell you how the party went down, so keep it Nairobi Wire.
