The construction of Machawood has kicked off and Governor Alfred Mutua is once again proving to be a man of his words. Having recently launched a comprehensive security programme that includes 120 police cars fitted with state of the art communication equipment, 40 police sniffer dogs and CCTV cameras, work has already started on the 50 acre land set to host Machakos Entertainment Centre for Film, Media, Music and the Arts.
The ambitious project unveiled in October last year is expected to be Kenya’s hollywood hence the name Machawood.
