Othaya residents on Sunday got a pleasant surprise after retired president Mwai Kibaki decided to ‘walk around town’.
Kibaki was in a jovial mood, and went around greeting residents, who formed big crowds after learning he was around.
The former president has largely kept off the limelight, only appearing in public during big events. It’s not clear whether he moved into his Mweiga mansion, but reports have suggested that he prefers staying in Muthaiga.
