Kisumu Governor, Jack Ranguma, is said to have ordered the renaming of Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground to Raila Amollo Recreation Centre.
This is the same man who has set aside Sh72 million to buy himself and his cabinet Prados. What’s happening in the lake side city?
We’re not sure whether his latest move is an order or a proposal, but I think it would not be right to change an already established name.
Of course no one will object if he builds a new recreation centre and calls it whatever he may.
UPDATE: In an interview with Nation, Governor Ranguma has denied the claims, saying that only Lake Victoria Trust Fund has powers to do that.
