Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino has denied hurling insults at Ghetto Radio presenter Edgar Ogutu over a story which was published on the station’s website.
The article reported that rowdy youth stormed a meeting that had been convened in Tassia by Esther Passaris on July 12 and demanded Babu Owino exits the meeting as he was unwanted.

Babu has now been accused of attacking and threatening the ‘Changamka Show’ presenter with the assumption that he wrote the damning story. According to reports, the presenter was at home on the said day nursing his sick son who is suffering from sickle cell anaemia.
A supposed audio clip of the verbal attack has also been released on social media.
The clip, whose source remains anonymous and which we cannot independently verify, captures a supposed phone conversation between Babu Owino and Edgar.

Man believed to be Babu: Toa hiyo ujinga umeweka hapo.
Second Man believed to be Edgar: Unajua Facebook [account] yangu? Liberator Edgar is my username.
Babu Owino: Achana na Facebook. Angalia Ghetto Radio [website]; hizo vitu munaweka hapo every time.
Edgar: Babu, mimi usijaribu kunitisha.
Babu: Wewe ni mjinga sana. [Hurls expletive].
Edgar: Babu, usijaribu kunitusi. Mimi naweza kukutoa hata mahali uko. Wewe ni kijana mdogo sana kunitusi. Usione wewe ni mheshimiwa unaweza ongelesha watu vile unataka.
Man said to be Babu Owino: Wewe ni mjinga sana.
When reached for comment, Babu Owino said: “I have no idea of the audio clip you are talking about. And if indeed it is there, then that is a doctored conversation, with a voice altered to resemble how I speak.”
