Tanzanian singer Ray C is reportedly in hospital after contracting the deadly dengue fever.According to Mwananchi Newspaper, she has been admitted at the Mwananyamala hospital, but is currently in a stable condition.
The dengue virus is transmitted by a certain type of mosquito called the Aedes mosquito. Its symptoms include: headaches, muscle pains, joint pains and skin rashes.
Failure to treat it on time results to over 50% fatality rate.
