Former Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has given Kenyans a sneak peek into what he thinks will happen after the Thursday, November 27, 2025 by-elections. Taking to his Facebook page on Tuesday, Wambugu insinuated that Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua would likely cry foul over alleged vote theft in numerous battleground areas.
“From tomorrow, we should expect Rigathi Gachagua to come up with the most amazing stories of ogres on how votes will be stolen in Mbeere, Malava, Narok and Magarini,” Wambugu posted, hinting that Gachagua might amplify claims of electoral interference.
Wambugu added that Gachagua was likely to surprise the public with new narratives.
“I assure you, he will shock us with his innovativeness,” he added, arguing that the political scene has witnessed similar patterns before.
He also questioned the recent unrest in Narok, suggesting it was tied to Gachagua’s campaign appearance. “Was there violence in Narok on any other day except the one and only day Gachagua went there to campaign?” he asked.
Looking beyond the polls, Wambugu said his team is already anticipating Gachagua’s reaction to the results. “We are preparing notes on what we expect Rigathi Gachagua to say on Friday after the Mbeere North results are released,” he stated.
He closed by inviting Kenyans to participate in the conversation: “What do you think will be the most hilarious thing he will say?”
