Kimani Ichung’wah has rubbished remarks by Suba North Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo suggesting that he is a member of the LGBTQ community.

Millie Odhiambo made the comments in the National Assembly on Wednesday, March 22, saying Ichung’wah had an unusual obsession with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“It is actually wrong for us to be mentioning other people who are not here[in Parliament], and calling them names. Regrettably, my good friend Honourable Ichung’wah called Honourable Raila an urban terrorist,” said Odhiambo.

“Honourable Ichung’wah must tell us whether he is also a member of the LGBTQ community because of his preoccupation with Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. That guy (Uhuru) is a man bwana! Don’t be too preoccupied with Honourable Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta,” the outspoken lawmaker said last week.

In a rejoinder, Kimani Ichung’wah said Odhiambo “lowered the quality of debate in the House and put it to shame” by speaking rubbish.

“I would say Millie Odhiambo used rubbish words. She spoke rubbish on the floor of the House. There is language that is foreign to the House, which is not permissible. Millie became petty, and clearly she had lost it. That goes a long way in showing the kind of leadership that Azimio has and entertains,” Ichung’wah said on Tuesday, March 28.
