United States of America Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman was full of praise for President William Ruto describing him as a hands-on leader.
She mentioned that the Head of State is strategic and strong and easy to work with.
“The new President, William Ruto, is very strong. He is smart, strategic, and gets things done,” she said.
“He understands that economic growth and development is the way forward and has set a vision for accelerating Kenya’s drive to achieve upper middle-income country status by 2030,” Whitman added.
The envoy lauded President Ruto in a letter inviting entrepreneurs to attend the American Chamber of Commerce Regional Business Summit being held in Nairobi from March 29 to 30.
Whitman also noted that Ruto has been key in fostering peace and security in East Africa.
The Ambassador also described Ruto’s Cabinet team as strong and noted that the President is undertaking policy reforms to improve the business environment in the country.
Whitman at the same time said she was super impressed with how Kenya conducted the August 9 elections.
“It (Kenya) held the freest, fairest, and most transparent elections in the country’s history this past August,” she said.
