A man accused of sexually abusing his daughter in Taita Taveta County has been sentenced.
36-year-old Abdhalla Maghanga was found guilty of defiling his 9-year-old daughter at Mwachabo village in Wundanyi on August 27, 2018.
When he appeared before Wundanyi Senior Resident Magistrate David Ndungi, Mr. Maghanga denied the charges. He accused his wife and stepmother of conspiring to frame him.
In his ruling, the Magistrate said the prosecution had proved the case beyond reasonable doubt. He sentenced the pedophile to life in prison on Wednesday.
Mr Maghanga has two weeks to appeal the ruling.
