2019 is shaping out to be the year of celebrity weddings following several high-profile nuptials in less than two months.

Joining the likes of Dennis Okari and Langata MP Nixon Korir who bid bachelorhood just this past weekend is rapper Simon Kimani alias Bamboo.

For the millennials who may not know who Bamboo is, he formed the hip-hop group K-South with Abbas Doobeez in the 90s. He is considered to be one of the pioneers of the rap movement in Kenya.

Bamboo also plays the role of big brother to his musical siblings Victoria Kimani and Kimya Khalifa.

Since bowing out of the rap game, Bamboo has been trying out his hand in the gospel scene -which seems to have led him to his wife Erica Belinda, a Ugandan evangelist who doubles up as a singer.

Bamboo and Erica exchanged their vows in front of friends and family on Saturday, February 16, in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

On IG, Bamboo was seemingly speechless as he wrote: “Can words explain how I feel right now? All I can say is, when Jesus says he will do something for you, he does it. He does not lie. God is faithful.”
