Gospel singer Weezdom has come out to pile more misery on underfire couple Bahati and wife Diana Marua.
Weezdom, who was the first artiste to be signed by Bahati about two years ago, left the EMB record label in unclear circumstances after just one year.
Speaking to Mzazi Willy M Tuva, Weezdom finally let the cat out of the bag alleging that he was driven out of EMB by Diana Marua. According to the hitmaker, Bahati started acting differently towards him as soon as the latter married Diana Marua.
“Tulikuwa na mipango mingi sana ya kikazi na Bahati lakini nadhani vile Diana alikuja into the picture alikuwa insecure na mimi so mipango yote ikaisha. Alifanya kakangu (Bahati), akabadilika kunihusu kikazi, kuishi, kiurafiki na nikawa na mazingira magumu,” said Weezdom.
He added: “I respect Bahati a lot because he is the one who brought up my music career. I consider him my brother but there were some changes which started emerging and the changes involved someone called Diana Marua. She (Marua) made sure I exited the record. She made Bahati change on me professionally and as a brother and since I was just starting as an artist, I decided to send myself out there so God can open my paths as well.”
Before Bahati married Diana, Weezdom said he had lived with the ‘Mama’ singer in the same house for three years after being rescued from the streets and starting his musical career.
David Wonder is another artiste who quit Eastlands Most Beloved Records to pursue a solo career.
“Kuna vitu mingi siwezi kuongelea lakini kuna vile tulipewa freedom Mkurugenzi akatuambia mimi nimewalea mwenye atataka kutoka atoke mwenye anataka kukaa akae so mimi nikaona nichukue hii opportunity kumake the brand David Wonder,” said the singer.
