Two and a half years after enrolling in Uni to pursue a doctoral degree, gospel rapper David Muthengi, popularly known as Holy Dave, has reason to celebrate.
The artiste, who doubles up as a media personality, on Wednesday received the grades for his coursework and was proud to announce that he has passed.
“Today I received the grades for my final coursework and I can officially say that I have completed and PASSED all required courses,” said Holy Dave.
He took the opportunity to thank his fans who have been following his journey towards that Ph.D. in Entrepreneurial Finance.
“I want to thank everyone who has cheered me on the last two and a half years,” he said, adding: “This is to inspire Kenyans both young & old that you can dream, believe and achieve.”
The rapper who has been pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Nairobi has now taken the next step.
“I am now registering to start doing my Independent Study Paper, which I will build on to form part of my thesis on Entrepreneurial Finance,” said the rapper, who recently said he regrets not figuring out his career path sooner.
Sharing some of his campus memories on Instagram, Holy Dave wrote: “Nothing comes easy but with ruthless focus and faith you can achieve anything, even a double and triple career.”
Congratulations Holy Dave. It’s always a great thing to see young people chasing their dreams and inspiring others while at it.
