Nakuru-based comedians Propesa have come out to deny any involvement in alleged election fraud after one of their members was arrested.
One of the group’s members, Dennis Ruto alias Larry Matayo, was on Tuesday arrested at the Nyayo Stadium police station after he was found with extra ballot papers.
According to unverified reports, he was nabbed with two extra ballot papers after casting his vote at Madaraka ward.
A video of his arrest has been circulating on social media. It shows Dennis being led into the police post by two officers. (Watch video above).
The comedy crew has since taken to social media to issue a statement on the incident. They claim Dennis Ruto was mistakenly handed the extra papers and IEBC officials have since admitted to the mistake.
According to Dennis, he was given two ballot papers for the Senate seat but gave them back.
