The third edition of the Mdundo Music Awards last Thursday evening was noticeably snubbed by a host of winners.
Hitmaker Timmy T’Dat was the only artist present to receive his award. He won the most downloaded track in the hip hop category beating E Sir, Khaligraph, Octopizzo, Vicmass Luodollar, The Kansoul and Frasha.
None of the winners in the other six categories were present to receive their awards apart from the ‘Trikideh’ singer.
Sauti Sol who won the award for Most Downloaded Afro Pop song was represented by their manager Marek Fuchs as they were occupied at a photoshoot.
Gospel artiste Mercy Masika was the biggest winner of the night after scooping three awards.
She won the three categories for the Most downloaded: Gospel Artiste, Female Single and Song of the Year.
