Last year, comedian Vincent Muasya better known by the stage name Chipukeezy started a noble initiative in Tala in the form of a community school.
The school, St.Martin Primary School, was officially launched last week Friday amid pomp and colour.
The comedian was joined by fellow funnyman and friend Eric Omondi in the launch that was graced by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.
The controversial MP promised to facilitate the construction of a new class.
Chipukeezy started the school to help the less fortunate in the area. This year, the institution will have its first batch of KCPE candidates.
“Over the last one year we have made progress including the fact that we’re going to have candidates sitting for KCPE for the first time ever,” said Chipukeezy.
“I love education and to give back to the community. My dream is to provide quality affordable education to deserving children, some of who look up to me,” added the comedian.
