Popular Corporal Linda Okello Demoted for Receiving Bribes

Police officer Linda Okello has reportedly been demoted after she was allegedly nabbed with bribe money on Saturday. The once famous corporal was caught during an undercover operation at Kirigiti area, Kiambu County.
According to unconfirmed reports, two of her colleagues escaped from the scene leaving Ms Okello who was found with Sh1,000 in her pocket. She was reportedly demoted upon orders from Traffic Commandant Jacinta Muthoni, from being a corporal to a constable.
Speaking to the Star on Tuesday, Ms Jacinta Muthoni said she would not comment on the issue.
“I cannot comment on administrative issues. Who leaked the information? I will not comment; ask the higher authorities,” she said.
Linda rose to instant fame and popularity back in 2014 after photos of her in a tight and short skirt, while on duty, went viral on social media.
